Discover Maharaja In Mission

Maharaja In Mission is an exceptional Indian dining experience located in the heart of Mission, BC. Situated at 33157 1st Ave, this inviting restaurant offers a wide array of authentic Indian dishes that captivate the senses and provide a delightful culinary journey. Whether you're craving rich curries, grilled meats, or flavorful vegetarian options, this place has it all, and it’s a must-visit for food lovers in the area.

From the moment you step into Maharaja In Mission, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The restaurant's cozy interior is thoughtfully decorated with traditional Indian art, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the flavors of the food. The service is friendly, and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu, always happy to recommend dishes if you're unsure about what to order. One of the standout aspects of dining here is the level of care that goes into every dish.

The menu at Maharaja In Mission is extensive, offering something for everyone, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian. For appetizers, you can’t go wrong with the crispy samosas, stuffed with seasoned potatoes and peas, or the succulent pakoras, which are fried to golden perfection. Both are served with a variety of chutneys that provide a delightful balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.

When it comes to mains, the options are truly spectacular. The butter chicken, a classic favorite, is rich and creamy with just the right amount of spice. The chicken is tender and cooked to perfection, absorbing the flavors of the sauce. For those who prefer something a bit more daring, the lamb rogan josh is a fantastic choice. This dish offers a deep, flavorful curry with tender lamb, perfect for anyone looking for a bold taste of India. Vegetarians are equally well catered for, with dishes like the paneer tikka masala and the aloo gobi, a comforting cauliflower and potato dish, stealing the show.

The tandoori dishes are another highlight at Maharaja In Mission. Cooked in a traditional clay oven, the meats come out beautifully charred and flavorful, yet still juicy and tender. The tandoori chicken is especially popular, marinated in yogurt and a blend of spices before being cooked to smoky perfection. It’s the ideal dish for those who enjoy a slightly spicy, smoky flavor.

As for sides, no meal is complete without naan bread or rice. The naan is soft and fluffy, perfect for soaking up any leftover curry, and it comes in various flavors, including garlic, butter, and even cheese. The basmati rice is light and aromatic, making it a great accompaniment to the heartier, more flavorful dishes. If you’re in the mood for something different, try the biryani, which is packed with fragrant spices and tender pieces of meat, making it a satisfying choice for anyone who loves a bit of variety.

The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. If you’re a fan of beer, there are several Indian beers available, like Kingfisher, which pairs wonderfully with the rich flavors of the curries. For non-drinkers, the mango lassi is a sweet, creamy drink that perfectly complements the spice of the food. It’s a refreshing and cooling choice, especially after indulging in some of the hotter dishes.

Desserts at Maharaja In Mission are the perfect way to end your meal. The classic gulab jamun, soft and syrup-soaked, is a favorite among regulars. For something a bit lighter, try the rasgulla, a spongy dessert soaked in syrup, offering a sweet and refreshing finish to your meal. No matter what you choose, the desserts are the ideal end to an unforgettable dining experience.

What sets Maharaja In Mission apart is not just the quality of its food but the care and authenticity behind it. The restaurant's commitment to using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods shines through in every dish. Whether you're visiting for a special occasion or just a casual meal, the experience here is always exceptional. The warm service, inviting atmosphere, and, of course, the incredible food ensure that Maharaja In Mission remains a beloved spot in Mission, BC.

If you're looking for a restaurant that offers an unforgettable taste of India in a welcoming environment, Maharaja In Mission should be at the top of your list. It’s a perfect blend of traditional flavors and modern hospitality, ensuring a dining experience that will keep you coming back for more.

  • My daughter and I had the most delicious lunch today. I The spiciness was perfect for both of us. I had the prawn Korma, medium spicy and my daughter had the Lamb Korma extra spicy we share a side of rice and garlic naan. Spiciness was perfect for both of us. My daughter said the lamb melted in her mouth and my prawns were perfection. Our server, Aman was so friendly and attentive. She gave us a complimentary dessert. Thank you Aman. We will definitely be back. If you haven't tried the Maharaja restaurant I really encourage you to enjoy a meal here. You won't be disappointed.

  • Wonderful place, delicious food and kind staff. I brought three of my friends here and they loved it, our table was full. I went for the classic butter chicken with rice and naan bread. My friends ordered lamb and chilli cauliflower as well as chicken korma. I definitely see myself coming back here. Recommend this as best Indian restaurant in Mission, BC. I hope this spot will bring you as much joy as it brought us!

  • We’ve been to Maharaja in Mission several times now and every time we’ve received excellent food and service. We’ve tried the Palak Paneer which is one of the best we’ve had. The Stuffed Naan is something we look forward to every time. Keep in mind that at this restaurant you need to order rice separately from your curry, but everything is reasonably priced. I highly recommend you try them out.

What really stood out was how well the waiter explained the dishes — it made ordering easy and enjoyable, especially with so many great options to choose from. The service was friendly and attentive, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. • I recently ordered from maharaja in mission and had a bit of a mixed experience that ended on a high note, thanks to their stellar customer service. To start, the food arrived a bit too spicy for my taste. I love a good kick, but this was beyond what I expected and made it nearly impossible to enjoy the meal. I was disappointed because I had ordered a mild dish and ended up with something that felt more like a fiery challenge than a delicious dinner. The flavor itself was there, but the heat was overwhelming. However, what really impressed me was how the restaurant handled the situation. I called to let them know about the issue, and they were incredibly apologetic. Without hesitation, they offered to remake my order with a more mild flavor and even sent it to me fresh—on the house! The second round of food was night and day. The flavors were vibrant, fresh, and, most importantly, the spice level was perfect. Everything tasted much better without the excessive heat. The portions were generous, and you could tell they had put extra care into preparing the new order. They also included a small complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch and helped turn my initial frustration into satisfaction. While the first experience wasn’t ideal, the fact that they took the time to rectify it so promptly and with such care really stood out. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you to the team for going above and beyond! Highly recommend for those who appreciate good food and great service!
